According to the survey, conducted by Pollara, the following strategies are used:

  • Flexible working schedule – 76%.
  • Professional trainings and development – 66%.
  • Increasing health and dental benefits – 36%.
  • Prolonged period of paid vacation – 29%.
  • Tuition help – 27%.
  • Remote working – 25%.

“Canadian business owners share a common view on the importance of hiring, training and maintaining talented employees,” – noted Steve Murphy, BMO. “It’s obvious that employees are the most valuable asset of a company. And we need business owners to provide them with the strong employee retention programs, supporting the company’s general success.”
