According to the survey, conducted by Pollara, the following strategies are used:
- Flexible working schedule – 76%.
- Professional trainings and development – 66%.
- Increasing health and dental benefits – 36%.
- Prolonged period of paid vacation – 29%.
- Tuition help – 27%.
- Remote working – 25%.
“Canadian business owners share a common view on the importance of hiring, training and maintaining talented employees,” – noted Steve Murphy, BMO. “It’s obvious that employees are the most valuable asset of a company. And we need business owners to provide them with the strong employee retention programs, supporting the company’s general success.”
