The report says Canada’s housing is showing moderate signs of vulnerability, and the fourth quarter is expected to have the same ratings as it was a year ago. Overvaluation is the only main issue reported by the CMHC.

Toronto housing market has a “moderate” vulnerability rating, downgraded from “high”. The activity is improving, there’s still certain overheating, and prices are growing. Meanwhile, the overvaluation is weakening. Nevertheless, the CMHC looks at the market from a general point of view. But while detached home prices rose only slightly above inflation, condo prices increased almost an entire year of wages for the average Toronto citizen.
