It’s interesting that on average houses were on the market for 23 days. The average price was $485,520. It’s 9% higher than in last May ($446,593). The most significant rise was noted in single detached home sector.  
“Over the past 2-3 months market is clearly in sellers territory,” – said Jason Mercer, TREB’s Senior Manager of Market Analysis. “Price growth may lead to listing increase, which will hopefully balance the market later this year’.
At year-over-year comparison the sales of single detached homes rose by 8%; semi-detached – were unchanged; townhouses rose by 10% and condo sales were up by 4%.
Speaking about the prices, single detached homes rose by 10%; prices for semi-detached homes rose by 8%; townhouses rose by 6% and condo prices were up by 5%.
