The core rate rose to 1.4% on the year (in October it was 1.8%).
Such numbers show that the central bank, targeting 2% inflation, will, probably, not raise the rates in the nearest future.  During the June-September period the BoC raised rates for three consecutive times, but since then the rates have been unchanged.
According to Reuters poll, the analysts, surveyed earlier this month, predicted that the central bank would not raise interest rates until the second quarter of next year.
