HuffPost Canada says TREB has not been consulted by CREA on this decision, and TREB will review it.

According to TREB CEO John DiMichele, the board believes personal financial information of home buyers and sellers has to be used safely. “The data must be disclosed only with the respect to privacy interests”, – he says. “TREB will be studying the necessary next measures for ensuring the data protection”.

TREB already allows using its data on password-protected sites.
