In addition to it, the Corporation provides a loner list of documents for increasing the chances to meet all the necessary income and employment requirements.

The changes will take effect on October 1, and they will affect transactional and portfolio insurance.

According to CMHC chief commercial officer Romy Bowers, self-employed Canadians account for a significant part of the national workforce.

“These changes react to it by making it easier for self-employed borrowers to get a CMHC mortgage loan insurance and enjoy the current low interest rates,” – Bowers added.
